アレン・ネルソンさんが逝去されました。
アレンさんと彼に連なる仲間たちの魂が、あたらしい旅立ちを迎えるにあたり、安らかに在りますよう祈ります。
アレンさんが、その平和への強い願いを通して、希望を私たち与えてくれたことを感謝します。
今は涙を堪えることは出来ませんが、あなたに出会えた私たちは、将来、喜びをあなたと分かち合うため、平和を希求する歩みをそれぞれの地で、たゆまず歩き続けていきます。

訃報　アネッタさんから平塚さんに送られたメール

Dear Jun san,

It is with a sad heart that I must inform you and everyone in the peace network community that Allen san passed away on Wednesday night at 10:19 p.m. He fought a hard fight but in the end surrendered peacefully as I held his hand when he took his last breath.

I was with him on Tuesday night until 11:30 p.m. After about 3 hours of sleep I received a call from his doctor on Wednesday morning telling me that I should come to the hospital. I was at the hospital for more than 12 hours during his very laborious struggle to hold on to this life.

I am at peace because Allen has passed on to a place where there is no more pain. No more agony. No more suffering. May he rest in peace.

Over the next few days we (his daughter and his son) will finalize arrangements for his funeral. I will keep you informed.

平和活動にかかわっていらっしゃるみなさんに、悲しいお知らせがあります。
２５日水曜日の午後１０時１９分にアレンが亡くなりました。
つらい闘病でしたが、最後は安らかで、私が手を握る中、息を引き取りました。

私は、火曜日の夜１１時３０分までアレンのそばにいて、帰宅しました。
３時間ほど寝たところで、病院の主治医からすぐ来てほしいという電話がありました。

命を維持しようとする苦しい闘いが続き、私はその間、１２時間あまり病院にいました。

これでもう苦しまなくていい所に旅立ったので、私も安らかな気持ちです。
痛みも、苦しみも、もうありません。どうかアレンが安らかに眠れますように。

この二、三日のうちに、アレンの息子と娘と私で葬儀をどうするかを決めます。
またご連絡いたします。
